Any and all information/assistance to remedy this situation would be greatly appreciated. If I add the flag legacy=yes to the bootplist by editing thru the SL partition then the system hangs during bootup also. If I don't type it the screen looks like the second pic which is some sort of graphics hieroglyphics. Even though I added the line npci=0x3000 in the bootplist I still have to type the bootflag to get into the OS. To collect data, FWP biologists and local houndsmen use trained dogs to track, tree and dart mountain lions in order to. If I take out the npci=0x2000 line and leave the npci=0x3000 by itself it hangs on bootup. The Montana Mountain Lion Monitoring and Management Strategy, adopted in 2019, calls for making periodic estimates of lion numbers in different lion management ecoregions of the state using genetically based field sampling. I added the line npci=0x3000 by editing the bootplist in SL then repairing permissions thru disk utility. The first pic shows what my bootplist looks like now. If I boot into my SL partition and change the ist file by choosing the iAtkos partition, some of the changes work and some of them don't. Is there a way for me to not have to type it EVERYTIME I want to get into the OS then it would be even better!! The only thing I cannot get it to do is boot into OS X without typing -legacy -v npci=0x3000 everytime. The OS installed by following this guide has worked very well. I can confirm that It works on a Biostar A780L motherboard using an AMD X3 720 BE (that is unlocked to a quad core X20) running at 3.2 GHz Your response was yes they could.wouldn't they need to repair permissions after that? Just wondering.

Is it possible to replace mach_kernel and finder in Windows?

I could then get into my Snow partition and install the nic driver from one of the folders where the driver file was located. I then rebooted into my iAtkos partition finder now works. I booted into my Snow partition and moved the finder.app file to my iAtkos partition's /System/Library/CoreServices folder.then repaired permissions thru Disk utility like the instructions said. Make sure to repair permissions using Disk Utility before rebooting.

It has 32 bit support, so you can use it with the AMD kernel for Lion.

Here is the Finder.app extracted from Mac OS X Lion Developer Preview 2. I have read posts in this forum explaining that the finder or some program in "DP2" is used instead but is that referring to the finder in Mountain Lions Dev 2 or what exactly is that referring to and how do I get to it/download it for install into my iAtkos partition. I have tried placing mucommander and Xfolders into the applications folder but I can't even see the Applications folder in the iAtkos partition to try to install it. Before I can do any of this it's window closes, erroring out.

Even when I boot into Snow and install the ethernet driver onto the iAtkos partiton, then boot into iAtkos.I don't have ethernet due to the fact that the network "program" wants me to set it up via dhcp or manual or however. I partitioned the drive with the "old" drive labeled Snow and the second partition labeled iAtkos. Since it is not working I cannot get to any folders(of course) and cannot install any drivers. I followed your guide and the install worked perferctly.Kudos to you!!! My issue is with not having finder working at all. Three of the 18, Coloma, Toro, and Silverado, still reside at the Oakland Zoo.I am having a GIGANTIC problem. Rose is the 18th orphaned mountain lion cub Oakland Zoo has received and rehabilitated from the state since 2017, zoo officials said. “We can already tell she has a feisty spirit and an obvious will to live, and we’re thankful for that,” Herman said. She is receiving fluids and hydration intravenously and being bottle-fed small amounts of formula several times a day. The search took five days.Īfter a day of treatment, veterinarians are guardedly optimistic about Rose’s recovery. Hikers first spotted Rose at the Thornewood Open Space Preserve in San Mateo County and reported the sighting to authorities, who sent a team of biologists and wildlife officials to find the cub. The cub is also suffering from extreme dehydration, "and her temperature was so low it couldn’t even be read."

To survive, her body resorted to consuming its own muscle mass," Herman said. The average female cub her age should weigh about 30 pounds (13.6 kilograms). The cub, estimated to be about five months old, weighs just 8.8 pounds (4 kilograms). Alex Herman, the zoo’s vice president of Veterinary Services, said in a statement Tuesday. SAN FRANCISCO - An orphaned and emaciated mountain lion cub spotted by hikers in the San Francisco area was brought to the Oakland Zoo, where veterinarians have named her “Rose” and are trying to nurse her back to health.Īn initial exam indicated Rose had not eaten in weeks, Dr.
